Born from a love of words
Crossearch started with a simple question: what if you didn't have to choose between your two favourite word puzzles? We combined the best of crosswords and word searches into something entirely new.
How it started
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon when our founder, Martin, sat down with a crossword in one hand and a word search in the other. Halfway through both, the idea struck — why are these two games separate? They use the same letters, the same grids, the same love of language. They belong together.
Six months of prototyping, playtesting, and obsessive tweaking later, Crossearch was born. The first version was a hand-drawn grid on graph paper. The latest version is the one you're playing today.
We're a small, passionate team of puzzle lovers, designers, and developers who believe that word games should be joyful, accessible, and endlessly replayable. Every puzzle is crafted by hand — no algorithms, no filler words.
